Develop your career with vocal coaching
Candi Louise is a professional vocal coach who specialises in training performers & songwriters to develop a unique, sustainable vocal style and carry this through to live performance.
As a qualified Vocal Health First Aider with over 12 years of studio and live experience in contemporary music, she recognises the changing expectations of performers & songwriters, and can deliver the tools and demystify the nuances of specific vocal techniques needed for such an approach.
Understanding each student is not the same, she takes an individual approach to ensure each session is personalised to achieve maximum progression and each student is given the knowledge they need to nurture their connection with the voice. She also includes additional training on musicality, songwriting, home recording & more from her studio in Brighton, Sussex or online.
“Candi is an amazing teacher: she is instantly warm, puts you at ease and tailors the session to exactly what you want. She has a great studio and made me feel really confident after an 18 month break. I would highly recommend!”

The approach
Explore
With all performers and artists there’s usually something we’re trying to ‘fix’ or something we want to emulate. At the beginning of your first lesson we’ll discuss your needs and what you most want to get out of the lessons, along with doing some technical exercises so I can get to know your voice.
Progress
Following that each session will include technical exercises specifically designed to help you achieve your goal. Each exercise will be accompanied with an explanation so you can build awareness of the techniques we work on and bring these through to your repertoire, which we will visit throughout the session. You will also be taken through steps on how to effectively practice at home.
Know
As your sessions continue you will keep building up your knowledge and the connection to your voice. Your ‘toolkit’ will grow, leading the techniques to become part of your unconscious and freeing you up to focus on performance, whether that’s live, in the studio or in the writing room.
